Chicago White Sox slugger Eloy Jiménez was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain Wednesday, the club announced.
Jiménez left Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays after sustaining the injury while rounding third base on a Corey Julks RBI single in the top of the fifth inning.
Jiménez has dealt with injuries throughout his major-league career. He spent time on the injured list earlier this season with a left adductor strain.
The 27-year-old missed a month of action last season due to a hamstring injury and was sidelined for extended periods during the 2022 campaign with leg and hamstring injuries.
Jiménez is hitting .231 with five home runs, 12 RBIs, and three stolen bases in 134 at-bats this season.
