Alonso avoids fracture, considered day-to-day after HBP
New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso is considered day-to-day after a CT scan on his right hand revealed no fracture, a source told SNY's Andy Martino.
Alonso has a bone bruise, according to the New York Post's Mike Puma.
Alonso exited Wednesday's 10-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first inning after getting hit on the hand by a James Paxton pitch.

Mark Vientos slid over to first base from third to replace Alonso and appears to be the Mets' best option at the position until Alonso returns.
Alonso is in the midst of a down year for New York, slashing .231/.308/.453 with 12 home runs and 26 RBIs in 55 games for the underperforming Mets.
The 29-year-old is eligible for free agency at the end of this season.
