Bryce Harper and his Philadelphia Phillies teammates are focused on one thing this season: winning the franchise's first World Series since 2008.

"What it would be like to win a World Series, what an incredible thing it would be like," Harper told "The Phillies Show" podcast. "You just want it. And I think as a team right now, that's all we want."

The Phillies have made consecutive NLCS appearances and lost in the 2022 World Series to the Houston Astros.

Harper joined the Phillies ahead of the 2019 season and saw his previous club, the Washington Nationals, win the World Series that same year.

"MVPs, Silver Sluggers, Gold Gloves, that's all really cool stuff individually, and I would never take that for granted," Harper said. "But at the end of the day, if I look back on my career and you don't have a World Series, it's kinda like, man, that's the one. Right? That's what you want as a team, that's what you want as an organization. That's what I want."

The Phillies are tied with the New York Yankees for the best record in baseball at 44-19.

Harper is in the midst of another strong season at the plate. The 31-year-old owns an .890 OPS with 14 home runs and 44 RBIs across 58 games.
