Phillies' Realmuto to undergo knee surgery
Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto is set to have surgery on the meniscus in his right knee, the team announced Tuesday.
The procedure is scheduled for Wednesday, and the club placed Realmuto on the 10-day IL. President of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski expects the three-time All-Star to miss about a month, he told NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark.

Philadelphia recalled catcher Rafael Marchán from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. Garrett Stubbs, Realmuto's longtime backup, is catching Zack Wheeler and hitting eighth on Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox.
Realmuto, 33, missed three games with knee soreness in May and has since been playing through pain, according to Scott Lauber of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The three-time All-Star owns a .261/.309/.411 slash line across 51 games for the first-place Phillies. He's currently in the fourth season of a five-year, $115-million deal signed in the 2021 offseason.
Realmuto has a career 112 OPS+ over 11 seasons.
