Nelson was activated from the disabled list on Tuesday, but is not in the starting lineup for the game against the Athletics. Nelson was the Angels' primary third baseman before straining his hamstring on Aug. 28, but it remains unclear as to whether he will resume his role, or if Andrew Romine will see the majority of time at third base for the rest of the season.
