Baltimore Orioles eliminated from playoffs with loss to Blue Jays
The Toronto Blue Jays have had a disappointing 2013 season to say the least, but they got to play spoiler on Tuesday night.
The Jays topped the Baltimore Orioles 3-2 in 10 innings. Coupled with an earlier walk-off win by the Cleveland Indians (Jason Giambi!), the Orioles are now officially eliminated from the playoffs.
With an 81-76 record, the Orioles are assured of their second straight winning season after a run of 14 straight losing campaigns. The year will likely be considered a disappointment, though, coming off a 93-69 record with a playoff appearance in 2012.
