Erlin tossed a quality start in his final start of the season Thursday, allowing just two runs and three hits over seven innings. He issued just one walk and struck out seven.
Outside of a two-run homer by Martin Prado, Erlin was outstanding. The young lefty finished the season strong, giving up just four runs over 20.2 innings (three starts). He doesn't throw hard, but the former prospect showed great strikeout potential in the minors. Depending on what San Diego does in the offseason, he might be part of the team's rotation in 2014.
