Report: Dodgers, Yankees interested in Rich Hill

Rich Hill isn't pitching in the big leagues, but he's drawing interest from two of baseball's top teams as they look to add depth down the stretch.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees are showing interest in the 44-year-old left-hander, who is back on the mound, according to The Boston Globe's Pete Abraham.

Hill said he received three major-league offers from teams this past offseason but turned them down so he could help coach his son during his final year of Little League.

"I've only seen Brice play four games over the last three years or whatever. Getting the opportunity, knowing that it was his last year of Little League, that's something that you can't get back," Hill told MLB.com's Ian Browne in May.

Hill has connections to both the Dodgers and Yankees, having played for both organizations throughout his 19-year career.

The southpaw split the 2023 campaign between the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Diego Padres, posting a 5.41 ERA and 7.9 K/9 in 146 1/3 innings.
