Jeter impressed by Judge's 'ridiculous' season
Hall of Famer Derek Jeter had high praise for Aaron Judge's incredible offensive performance in 2024.
"It's ridiculous," Jeter told YES Network's Meredith Marakovits. "I think people fail to remember he had a rough first month, and there was a lot of questions. Now, all of a sudden, he's having a season like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Barry Bonds. I don't really know why they keep pitching to him, but it's pretty fun to watch."
Judge has a league-leading 49 home runs, 119 RBIs, and a 1.189 OPS in 128 games this season. He's been on an incredible tear since the beginning of May after hitting .220 across 100 at-bats in April.
Judge is in his second season as the Yankees' captain, the first player to hold the title since Jeter retired at the end of the 2014 season.
