Chicago Cubs outfielder Cody Bellinger is unsure if he'll opt out of his contract in the offseason, sources told The Athletic's Patrick Mooney.

Bellinger signed a three-year, $80-million contract with opt-outs after each of the first two seasons in February.

The 29-year-old is hitting .260 with 18 home runs, 73 RBIs, and nine stolen bases in 124 games this season.

Bellinger hasn't quite been able to perform at the level he did for the Cubs in 2023, when he posted an .881 OPS with 26 home runs and 97 RBIs in his first season with the club.

"I still think he's had a really nice season," Cubs manager Craig Counsell said. "His defensive versatility has been super valuable. He's had some big swings and performances, for sure. I don't think much has changed, really. He's still doing some things really well. We just haven't seen as much slug."
