Baldelli to return as Twins manager in 2025
The Minnesota Twins will stick with manager Rocco Baldelli after this season.
Twins president of baseball operations Derek Falvey said Baldelli will return in 2025 despite the team's dramatic collapse down the stretch. Minnesota has gone 12-26 since Aug. 18 to miss the postseason and finish fourth in the AL Central.
"He is my manager," Falvey said, according to Bobby Nightengale of the Star Tribune.
Baldelli recently said the collapse would bother him "forever."
The Twins have won three division titles in six years under Baldelli, most recently in 2023. Minnesota also eliminated the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL wild-card round that year to win its first playoff series since 2002.
Baldelli entered Sunday with a career 457-412 record as a manager.
