San Diego Padres right-hander Joe Musgrove exited Wednesday's Game 2 of the National League wild-card series with right elbow tightness.

Musgrove walked off the field with trainers in the fourth inning after throwing two of the slowest curveballs of his career, according to Statcast.

The pitcher said the injury isn't the same as the bone spur that caused him to miss a couple of months earlier this season, according to 97.3's Annie Heilbrunn. He'll undergo an MRI on Thursday.

"I'll do whatever I've got to do to get back in there at some point," Musgrove said, according to AJ Cassavell of MLB.com.

The Padres were leading the Braves 5-1 when Musgrove departed and was replaced by right-hander Bryan Hoeing.

San Diego wound up winning 5-4, advancing to the NLDS to face the Los Angeles Dodgers.
