Fry's walk-off HR stuns Yankees in wild Game 3
The Cleveland Guardians rallied to stun the New York Yankees 7-5 in Game 3 of the ALCS.
David Fry delivered a walk-off home run with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning off Yankees right-hander Clay Holmes.
The Yankees led 5-3 in the bottom of the ninth inning when Guardians slugger Jhonkensy Noel crushed a pinch-hit two-run home run off closer Luke Weaver to tie the game.
"He pinch hit to hit a homer. That's why we sent him up there," Guardians manager Stephen Vogt said, according to MLB Network.
Vogt added: "He steps up, and he gives you everything he has every time he gets there. He's not sped up. He's not afraid of the big moment."
New York took a 4-3 lead in dramatic fashion in the top of the eighth inning after Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton hit back-to-back homers off All-Star closer Emmanuel Clase.
"That was an amazing game to witness," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said postgame, per SNY. "Playoff baseball, both sides just kept coming with haymakers and big at-bats, big moments off of two really good bullpens. They outlasted us tonight."
The Yankees lead the series 2-1 and will look to take a stranglehold when the two teams play Game 4 on Friday night in Cleveland.
