Francisco Lindor remains confident in the New York Mets after they were routed by the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-2 in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series on Thursday.

"If you have no belief, you shouldn't be here," Lindor said after the Dodgers took a 3-1 series lead with the victory, according to SNY.

"You gotta believe, you gotta fight for what you want, you gotta fight for it."

The Dodgers outscored the Mets 27-2 in their three NLCS wins and reached base 21 times on Thursday due to 12 hits and eight free passes from New York's pitching staff.

The Mets had opportunities of their own, recording 10 hits in the contest, but they were an abysmal 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position and left 12 men on base.

Lindor believes the Mets are capable of coming back in the series but will need to execute better if they hope to do so.

"At the end of the day, it comes down to one day at a time, executing," Lindor said.

"We have an amazing opportunity of winning a big-league game in the National League Championship Series. We've got to come out, got to execute, and we've got to play the game better than they do. And if we win tomorrow then we learn from it and move on."

Game 5 of the NLCS gets underway at 5:08 p.m. ET on Friday. Left-hander David Peterson gets the ball for New York, while Jack Flaherty will start for Los Angeles.
