A pair of New York Yankees fans were removed from Game 4 of the World Series after they interfered with a catch in foul territory by Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts.

Replay showed the fans grabbing Betts' glove and attempting to rip the ball from it.

"I just see the ball kind of - I don't want to say (go) up for grabs, if that makes sense," said Darren Capobianco, whose brother, Austin, was one of the individuals escorted out, according to The Athletic's Brendan Kuty. "And then Mookie was swearing at us. Not good."

The pair in question were immediately ripped on social media.

"That was one of the most aggressive 'fan ripping the ball out of his glove (incidents)' that I've ever seen," former umpire Dale Scott told Kuty.

The Yankees were trailing 2-0 at the time thanks to a first-inning home run from Freddie Freeman. New York entered the contest down 3-0 in the series.
