Jose Reyes buys $4.5 million Long Island home and it's awesome

There's no place like a $4.578 million home on Long Island.

Shortstop Jose Reyes may be committed to the Toronto Blue Jays until 2017 (with a $22 million club option in 2018) but he's still attached to New York where he spent the first eight years of his career as a Met.

As of Thursday, the affable Reyes is the owner of a home in Old Brookville, Valerie Kellogg of Newsday reported.

The 30-year-old paid $4.2 million for the 16-room home about half an hour from his old stomping grounds at Citi Field. Built in 2006, Casa Reyes has six bedrooms, six bathrooms and two half baths. That's EIGHT bathrooms.

According to the report, real estate agent Shawn Elliott said Reyes loves the home's 3.51-acre property, its gym, and the master bedroom suite with large closets.

Seeing is believing:

Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal the proximity of the wine cellar to that soaker tub that has its own fireplace.
