Muncy happy Dodgers built superteam: 'Everyone else can cry'

Max Muncy doesn't care what other people think about the Los Angeles Dodgers building a super team, as long as it keeps bringing him rings.

"Everyone else can cry. I'm happy," the veteran infielder said on "Foul Territory" after the Dodgers made the signing of two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell official.

"I got a second ring. I'd like to get a third, maybe a fourth. That's one of those things where you let everyone else cry about it as long as we keep winning, that's what makes me happy, and when you bring in those players it obviously gives you a better chance."

The Dodgers are the reigning World Series champions after spending more than $1 billion on players last offseason. Los Angeles won 98 games and dominated the New York Yankees in the Fall Classic after fielding a club made up of MVPs Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman, plus All-Stars Will Smith, Teoscar Hernández, and Tyler Glasnow.

The organization was desperate for starting pitching in the postseason due to injuries, and entered this winter with starters Walker Buehler, Jack Flaherty, and Clayton Kershaw set for free agency - which made adding an arm like Snell's a priority.

Los Angeles signed the left-hander to a five-year, $182-million contract that included $66 million in deferred money. The deferrals allow the Dodgers to continue building upon an impressive roster in 2025 as they seek a second consecutive World Series title.
