Report: Rockies sign Estrada to 1-year, $3.25M contract
The Colorado Rockies and veteran Thairo Estrada agreed to a one-year contract, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.
Estrada will earn $3.25 million with the Rockies in 2025 with a mutual option for 2026 ($750,000 buyout), making it a $4 million guarantee, per source. If the option isn’t exercised, Estrada will still be arbitration-eligible for the final time in 2026. Deal is pending physical.

Estrada spent the last four seasons with the Giants after he was acquired in a trade with the New York Yankees in 2021.
The 28-year-old struggled at the plate in 2024, posting a 64 wRC+ with nine home runs, 43 runs scored, and 47 RBIs across 96 games. He put together strong seasons in 2022 and 2023, combining to hit 28 home runs with 48 doubles and a .727 OPS in 1,071 plate appearances.
Estrada can play second base, shortstop, or left field. The Rockies have a hole at second base after non-tendering former first-round pick Brendan Rodgers in November.
