Chicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi will miss four-to-six weeks with a non-displaced fracture in his right hand.

Benintendi was hit in the hand by a pitch and left Thursday's spring contest against the Cleveland Guardians.

The White Sox announced the injury won't require surgery, according to MLB.com's Scott Merkin.

Benintendi hadn't recorded a hit in five spring at-bats before sustaining the injury.

The 30-year-old's tenure on the South Side has been rocky since inking a five-year, $75-million contract before the 2023 campaign.

The one-time All-Star was the fourth-worst qualified player in baseball last season by fWAR. He owns a .246/.309/.374 slash line with 25 homers and 109 RBIs in 286 games for the White Sox.
