Report: Dodgers, Roberts agree on record 4-year, $32.4M deal

The Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to a four-year contract with longtime manager Dave Roberts, a source told ESPN's Alden Gonzalez.

Roberts' deal reportedly covers the 2026-29 seasons and is for $32.4 million, with the $8.1-million average annual value beating the previous record set by Chicago Cubs skipper Craig Counsell.

His pact is expected to be announced within the next two days before the Dodgers travel to Japan to play the Chicago Cubs, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman.

The 52-year-old has managed the Dodgers since 2016, winning 851 regular-season games, four NL pennants, and two World Series titles.

Roberts was also named NL Manager of the Year in 2016 and won a World Series as a player with the Boston Red Sox in 2004.
