Ken Griffey Jr. working as photographer at 2025 Masters

Ken Griffey Jr. has a new gig.

The Major League Baseball Hall of Famer is working as a credentialed photographer at the 2025 Masters Tournament for Masters.com, according to Doug Stutsman of Golfweek. It's Griffey's first time covering the tournament, which kicked off Thursday at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

In an interview with "Mornings at the Masters," Griffey explained he first took up photography as a way to connect more with his children.

"It was actually the only way I could see my kids," Griffey said. "I was still playing and I understand how my dad felt like, coming to watch me play. But now with social media, it's a little different. ... I figured nobody's messing with the photographer. Well let me pick it up. Let me try it.

"And I got a couple photographer friends who sent me a couple cameras and lenses and said, 'Here you go.' And didn't tell me anything about it, just, like, don't put it on auto."

Griffey retired from baseball in 2010 following a 22-year career that included stints with the Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, and Chicago White Sox.
