Trout leaves game vs. Mariners with sore left knee

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout left Wednesday's game against the Seattle Mariners in the fourth inning with a sore left knee.

Manager Ron Washington said removing Trout was a precaution after the three-time MVP felt discomfort in his knee after stepping on the first base while trying to beat our a grounder, according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register.

Trout said he's already feeling better after undergoing some tests and will attempt to play Thursday against the Detroit Tigers.

Jo Adell entered the game for Trout, who's appeared in all 29 of the Angels' games this season. The 33-year-old Trout owns a .179/.264/.462 slash line with nine home runs, 18 RBIs, and 36 strikeouts in those contests.
