With the 11th pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, the Athletics selected Jamie Arnold, a left-handed pitcher from Florida State University.
Arnold slid to the A's at No. 11 despite being ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect, and second-best left-hander, in this year's draft class by MLB.com.
The 21-year-old just finished a stellar three-year run at Florida State, where he emerged as the Seminoles' ace. Arnold earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2025 by putting up a 2.98 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with 119 strikeouts over 15 starts.
