Blue Jays' Bichette not included on ALCS roster
The Toronto Blue Jays did not include shortstop Bo Bichette on their American League Championship Series roster ahead of Game 1 against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday.
The Blue Jays did include starters Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt on the ALCS roster, after both right-handers were left off in the ALDS. They replaced Justin Bruihl and Tommy Nance.

Bichette hasn't appeared in a big-league game since Sept. 6 after spraining his knee in a home-plate collision against the New York Yankees.
The 27-year-old ran the bases Saturday for the first time since injuring his knee, but it doesn't appear the Blue Jays were confident enough in his progress to let him play against Seattle.

Andrés Giménez, who started all four games of the division series at shortstop against the New York Yankees, will presumably continue to man the position with Bichette sidelined.
Bichette was one of Toronto's most effective hitters before he was injured, slashing .311/.357/.483, and finishing second in the AL in hits (181) and doubles (44). He's a free agent at the end of the season.
