Team USA adds Schwarber, Smith, Henderson, Turang for WBC

Team USA beefed up its roster for the World Baseball Classic.

Slugger Kyle Schwarber, Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith, Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson, and Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang have joined Mark DeRosa's club, the team announced Tuesday.

The additions bolster an already formidable group of MLB's best, as Team USA continues to shape its roster ahead of the event, which is scheduled to begin March 5, 2026.

Team USA finished second to Japan during the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
