The Philadelphia Phillies have entered the chase for Bo Bichette, competing with several big-market teams, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman.

Philadelphia reportedly joins the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Toronto Blue Jays as potential suitors for the 27-year-old.

👉 MORE - What's the best fit for Bichette?

Bichette is one of the top players available on the open market after seven seasons in Toronto, where he slashed .294/.337/.469 and led the AL in hits twice.

The Phillies already employ an elite shortstop in Trea Turner, but Bichette would be an upgrade at second base over Bryson Stott. Bichette has apparently informed interested teams that he's willing to move to second and looked comfortable at the keystone during his brief postseason appearance.

Bichette has said he'd like to return to the Blue Jays. However, Toronto might not have room for him on the roster after reportedly agreeing to a four-year, $60-million deal with Japanese infielder Kazuma Okamoto on Saturday.
