Report: Giants agree to minor-league deal with Lucchesi
The San Francisco Giants re-signed left-hander Joey Lucchesi to a minor-league deal with an invitation to big-league spring training, reports Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
The southpaw will earn $1.55 million in the majors and could make $300,000 more through incentives, Heyman adds.
Lucchesi appeared in 38 games for the Giants last season, authoring a 3.76 ERA and 3.97 FIP in 38 1/3 innings.
The converted starter held lefties to a .598 OPS out of the Giants' bullpen, which was a strength for the club in 2025.
San Francisco is projected to begin the regular season with two other lefties - Erik Miller and Matt Gage - in the bullpen.
Lucchesi has pitched 433 big-league innings across seven seasons with the Giants, San Diego Padres, and New York Mets.
