Report: IF Jamey Carroll drawing 'significant interest'
The Pioneer Press is reporting that 39-year-old utility infielder Jamey Carroll has been drawing "significant interest" on the free agent market.
Carroll split time between the Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals last season. In 73 games, Carroll hit .211/.267/.251 with nine doubles and 11 RBI. The 12-year veteran does hold some value defensively as he played second, third, short stop and even pitched and inning last season.
