A-Rod's hip injury was his own fault, Yankees' doctor says
Alex Rodriguez's reality television-worthy appeals process is overshadowing his other ongoing legal battle.
Recall: the third baseman filed a lawsuit on Oct. 4. against Yankees' team doctor Christopher S. Ahmad for medical malpractice.
The lawyers for Ahmad said a 2012 hip injury was the result of "culpable conduct" of Rodriguez but does not explain why, reports Brendan Kuty of NJ.com.
In the lawsuit, the 38-year-old alleges Ahmad didn't tell him the result of an MRI on Oct. 11, 2012, and cleared him to play in the postseason. The same day, Rodriguez went 1-for-4 in the ALDS against the Orioles with a torn labrum in his left hip.
Neither party returned calls by NJ.com for comment.
