The Royals reportedly made a significant upgrade at second base on Friday, agreeing to terms with veteran infielder Omar Infante on a four-year deal worth roughly $30 million, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.

A 12-year veteran, Infante enjoyed a solid season in 2013, posting a career-high 3.1 wins above replacement. The 31-year-old fashioned a career-high 117 wRC+ while blasting 10 home runs over 118 games with the Tigers.
