Miguel Tejada: Suspended From Dominican League
Tejada was suspended for the rest of the season in the Dominican League for purchasing shares of Gigantes del Cibao franchise while active with Aguilas Cibaenas, Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
This obviously doesn't affect his chances of being signed by a major league team as much as his mid-August 105-game suspension for amphetamines use does, but it's another strike against him, for sure. It seems highly unlikely that any club would bother with him unless they were ridiculously desperate for infield help, so this little news blip might just be the last we hear of him until he shows up at an A's old-timer's game some day in the future.
