Free-agent second baseman Brian Roberts is trading in his Orioles jersey for Yankee pinstripes:
Brian Roberts and Yankees have agreement for 1-year deal worth around $2 million plus incentives, sources tell @Ken_Rosenthal and me.

Roberts, 36, had a 90 wRC+ in 77 games in 2013, with eight home runs and 39 RBI. The 77 games Roberts played was the most he's played since 2009. Injuries have essentially robbed him of the past four seasons.
Roberts' reported signing doesn't mean the team won't add another infielder, notably free agent Mark Reynolds, tweeted Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal early Tuesday morning. The Yankees are looking for insurance in case Roberts can't stay healthy.
Roberts’ low salary enables #Yankees to keep looking. Free agent Reynolds one option. Team also has explored trade for #Mariners’ Ackley.

Roberts' deal is pending a physical.
