The deal is expected to be worth $1 million in base salary, according to ESPN's Enrique Rojas, who adds that Gutierrez could earn as much as $2 million through incentives. A nine-year veteran, Gutierrez has averaged just 58 games per season over the last three years, missing considerable time with a concussion and hamstring problems.
