Highly-rated Twins' prospect Eddie Rosario has received a 50-game suspension for a second positive test for recreational drug use, according to Mike Berardino of the Pioneer Press.
Early reports surfaced of Rosario's positive test in late November when he finished his term at Arizona Fall League. Rosario was to report to Puerto Rican Winter League, but called his general manager Frankie Thon with the Mayaguez with the news in advance of his arrival.
The Double-A second baseman supposedly "hurt his arm and took some pills," Thon said, via SportLivePR, though Berardino notes the suspension is not PED related.
Important to note Eddie Rosario suspension does not stem from a PED violation, as previously reported in Puerto Rico. #mntwins

Major League Baseball declined to comment on the reported suspension in November.
"We have no announcements planned right now," the spokesman said in an email to Berardino. "Under our system, we only announce discipline once matters have been resolved."
Rosario, who is currently on the roster of Double-A New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League, will begin his suspension at the start of the 2014 season.
