Astros prospect Carlos Correa was forced to leave Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Nationals after getting hit in the hand with a pitch from reliever Tyler Clippard in the eighth inning.

Selected first overall in the 2012 draft, the 19-year-old shortstop was in the midst of his first big-league Spring Training. Correa, a Puerto Rico native, was 6-for-28 (.214) with two home runs and 10 strikeouts heading into Wednesday's game.
