Red Sox place Victorino on DL, recall Bradley Jr.
Shane Victorino's troubled right hamstring has forced him to the disabled list to open the season, and prospect Jackie Bradley Jr. will be recalled from Triple-A to take his spot on the 25-man roster.

A host of minor ailments limited Victorino, a two-time All-Star, to nine games this spring. Bradley, who appeared in 24 games for the Red Sox last season, battled this spring with 31-year-old Grady Sizemore for the club's vacant center field job, but was ultimately trumped by his veteran counterpart.
