Arizona Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson delivered some bad news Saturday regarding outfielder Mark Trumbo's stress fracture in his left foot.
"The summary I got on it confirmed six to eight weeks probably," Gibson said via MLB.com.
The initial timetable for Trumbo's return was six weeks when he was placed on the disabled list Thursday, meaning the Diamondbacks could now be without his big bat until late-June.
Trumbo leads the team with seven home runs and 19 RBIs.
