Brewers' Segura could return to lineup Wednesday or Thursday
Brewers manager Ron Roenicke suggested Monday that shortstop Jean Segura, who was inadvertently struck in the face with a bat Saturday, could return to Milwaukee's lineup later this week, reports Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
"Seggy's injury is a little bit different," said Roenicke, who also lost Ryan Braun to an oblique injury this weekend. "When that swelling goes down -- he looks better today -- and if he looks better tomorrow hopefully he can take some BP. Maybe he can see some action Wednesday or maybe we have to go to Thursday."
Segura, who's hitting .239/.272/.330 with five stolen bases through his first 22 games this season, required surgery to repair a large laceration close to his right eye sustained in Saturday's accident.
