Texas Rangers reliever Daniel Bard, who was once heralded as Jonathan Papelbon's successor in Boston before his fall from grace, received a nice present in the mail from his former team.

Bard signed with the Rangers in January and has so far spent the entire 2014 season in Triple-A and while his contributions to the Red Sox championship season were minimal -- one inning of work that saw him yield one run -- he still was awarded a ring.
Former players, including Jacoby Ellsbury and Jonathan Diaz, were awarded rings prior to the Red Sox playing their new teams earlier in the year.
