Marte belted a two-run homer in the sixth inning of Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader, but was replaced an inning later.
The injury leaves the Pirates, who also lost Jose Tabata to a hamstring ailment, very shorthanded in the outfield for the remainder of the game and potentially longer depending on the severity of both injuries. Marte is also dealing with a lingering back injury.
The Bucs have a day off Monday before beginning an interleague series with the Baltimore Orioles.
