The Miami Marlins signed Kevin Gregg to a minor league contract, the team announced Tuesday.
Early reports of a deal with the veteran reliever emerged Monday, and his signing was pending a physical.
He's expected to join the big club after a short stint in the minors, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal. The 35-year-old could likely see MLB action by next week, coinciding with the Marlins' return to Miami on June 13 for a 10-game homestand.
