The Boston Red Sox are desperate for offense and have called up prospect Mookie Betts in an attempt to inject some life into the lineup.
Manager John Farrell, however, wants to make sure he doesn't put too much pressure on the 21-year-old call-up.
Farrell on Betts: "He's here bc of what he's done and what he's doing, not to do more. He's not looked upon as the savior of the Red Sox."

Betts arrived in New York in time for tonight's clash with the Yankees, but won't be in the starting lineup until Sunday.
Farrell said Sox wanted to give Betts "a day to settle in." Will start tomorrow.

That means Betts likely won't have to face Masahiro Tanaka in his big-league debut, which is probably a good thing.
