The Cincinnati Reds right-hander left Friday's tilt with the Pittsburgh Pirates after throwing five innings and 71 pitches. He is in line for the win, however.
The oft-injured Latos has a history of elbow and knee injuries, which have limited him to only six starts.
Washington Nationals righty Jordan Zimmermann also suffered an injury Friday night.
