Eric Hosmer: Scratched with Hand Injury Monday

Hosmer has been scratched from Monday's lineup due to a right hand contusion, Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star reports.

Analysis:

As a late scratch just after the weekly deadline in many formats, Hosmer's removal from the lineup is poorly timed. Billy Butler will man first base Monday, while Salvador Perez is shifting to the DH spot. Hosmer is considered day-to-day after apparently suffering the injury during Sunday's 6-0 loss to Boston.
