Reports suggested last week the Philadelphia Phillies were uninterested in moving starter Cole Hamels, but it appears as though their pitching fire sale may indeed include the lefty.

FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reported Monday that Hamels has been made available on the trade market and that the Los Angeles Dodgers are interested in retaining his services.

Hamels is in the midst of just his second season on the Phillies' mound since signing a lucrative long-term extension with the club through 2018.

The left-hander's $23.5 million 2014 salary would push the Dodgers' payroll well past the quarter billion dollar mark for this season and beyond.

Hamels is 5-5 with a 2.72 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 125 strikeouts in 18 starts this season.

The Phillies are also reportedly interested in shedding themselves of starters Cliff Lee and A.J. Burnett, but the price for Hamels will be far steeper.

CBS' Jon Heyman quoted a rival general manager who told him the Phillies "want the world" for their ace.
