Report: Previously unnamed MLB players revealed in Biogenesis investigation, suspensions possible

With Biogenesis founder Anthony Bosch and nine of his associates now in custody, further details of the DEA's inquiry into the laboratory and the potential trickle-down effect on Major League Baseball are beginning to emerge.

Or, at the very least, speculated on:

While Quinn - of ESPN's Outside the Lines, and the one who broke news of Bosch turning himself in earlier Tuesday - doesn't get any more specific than that more suspensions may come, this is sure to worry some in the game. Another news cycle focusing on steroid use among active players is probably the last thing commissioner Bud Selig wants on his way out the door.

This also comes on the one-year anniversary of the league handing down 13 suspensions related to the league's investigation into Biogenesis, including that of Alex Rodriguez.

How many names, and when they'll be revealed, remains unclear, though the fact that athletes are not the primary focus of the investigation could mean that matter is not an immediate priority.
