The 6-hour, 37-minute affair emptied the bullpens for both teams, and even prompted the Tigers to call upon starter Rick Porcello - who came away with the loss - for two innings of work.
The 19-inning game ranks as the fourth-longest contest in Tigers history.
Only longer games in #Tigers history:
24 innings, July 21, 1945
22 innings, June 24, 1962
21 innings, May 24, 1929

The Blue Jays erased a five-run deficit to take two of three from the Tigers. Toronto now heads west to Seattle for a three-game set, while Detroit makes the short trip to Pittsburgh to begin an interleague series with the Pirates. Both teams may be tapping into their respective farm systems for fresh arms.
It was the second time this weekend a game lasted at least 18 innings after the Los Angeles Angels edged the Boston Red Sox 5-4 on Saturday night.
This is 1st time in MLB history that there has been a game of 18+ innings on consecutive days (though 2x there were 2 in a day) (via ELIAS)
