VIDEO: Buck Farmer's dad gets emotional about son's MLB debut for Tigers
It's a very big day for any player making his major-league debut, and when Buck Farmer was asked to step into the Detroit Tigers rotation Wednesday, it was no different.
Warren and Rose Farmer made the trip to Comerica Park from Georgia to see their 23-year-old son make his first start and it was pretty clear when sideline reporter Shannon Hogan interviewed dad that it was a pretty special night.

Three weeks before pitching five innings of six-run ball in the majors for a no decision, Farmer was starting for Class A West Michigan. He didn't seem too surprised, nor bothered, by being optioned to Triple-A Toledo after the team's 8-4 win.
"It's a step up," Farmer said, via MLive. "It was surreal coming here and getting an opportunity, but going to Toledo, that's awesome, too."
