Jorge Soler wasted no time impressing his teammates and endearing himself to the Chicago Cubs faithful on Wednesday, as the 22-year-old prospect launched a mammoth home run off Cincinnati Reds right-hander Mat Latos in his first career at-bat.

Soler finished the contest 2-for-4, contributing a run-scoring single in the eighth inning of his club's 6-5 loss at Great American Ball Park.
Soler consistently impressed scouts with his plus power throughout his minor-league career, as the Cuban defector cranked 28 homers and 43 doubles in just 621 plate appearances with five different affiliates.
