The Detroit Tigers' bullpen is set to receive a jolt in pursuit of the American League Central crown.
Joakim Soria will be activated off the 15-day disabled list in time for Wednesday's pivotal matchup with the Kansas City Royals, according to manager Brad Ausmus, via MLB.com's Jason Beck.
Soria felt no discomfort in his arm or oblique following a 27-pitch throwing session Monday afternoon.
He has appeared in just six games with the Tigers after coming over in a July 23 deal with the Texas Rangers.
